Of all the sites in all the web, in all the world, you walk into mine.

Movie houses have come a long way, and so have the films screened in them. As a cinephile, it is my active duty to promote, critique, and study film to ensure its evolution and survival.

Are you tired of the same old critics giving you the same old opinions about films? Do you shake your head in disbelief when for the umpteenth time, a critic has praised a film that really belongs in the trash? Then you’ve come to the right place.

It always seemed like a conspiracy whenever movie critics would heap praise on undeserving films, until the realization came: they don’t know what they’re talking about.

So, as a film scholar, I have vowed to put all films in their place (from Hollywood productions, to independents, avant-gardes and foreign films) and provide the truth seeking film viewer with an honest opinion you can trust, so your money isn’t wasted on films that don’t deserve it.

Cinephile at Large: Protecting the film viewer from generic, populist opinions

I work tirelessly to bring a different approach to reviewing and talking about films and I have seen too many different kinds of films to become a huge subjective film snob. The goal here, is to let you, the reader, make up your own mind about films with of course, the help of my cinephile powers of opinion.

Remember: This cinephile is always at large.

Ps. I am in the beginnings of setting up a monthly email Newsletter. Should you wish to subscribe, head over to the Contact section and email me. I’ll only send it out once I have a good  number of people signed up.
