Taken is one of those films where you can just sit back and not have to think about anything and just be purely entertained. I actually liked this one more than I thought I would. I thought it would be another of those silly lame action movies but it was actually good, with a great performance by Liam Neeson. The plot is straightforward, nothing is complicated and it’s all easily understood which makes watching it all the more entertaining since you aren’t sitting there wondering “What? Why did he hit that guy? Who was that? Where are they going now? Why doesn’t this make sense?”. Taken is really good, and I highly recommend it, especially for those who don’t think Liam Neeson can be intimidating and do more than a few choice action moves – to you I say, he can and should totally kick your butt. Pick this one up and prepared to be entertained!
